French 18th Century Louis XVI-Style Mahogany Commode

Description
This fine French Louis XVI-style mahogany marble-top commode, c. 1790, is from France. The grey-and-white conforming marble top rests upon a case with a bank of three paneled short drawers over a pair of drawers, each with three panels forming the appearance of a total of nine drawers. Each panel is trimmed in brass, as are the circular pulls and escutcheons. The shaped skirt is accented with ormolu.
