A wonderful French 19th century burl walnut secretaire a abattant has a Sainte-Anne marble top. A single drawer can be found at the top of the desk with a key. The front of the desk folds down when unlocked, revealing a green felt work surface at 29-?”H, five small drawers and one wide drawer at the bottom – all drawers with petite knobs. There are also two hidden compartments, one on either side of the drawers. The wood in the interior of the desk is bird’s eye maple. When opened, the desk measures 33”D. Beneath the work area are three drawers with one key that works these drawers. Across the bottom is a hidden drawer. The whole sits on two bracket feet on the front and two plain rectangular feet across the back. Antique locks can be finicky, so we recommend you only lock when necessary. Desk height is 29 ¾” -
