Signed James Mont Sideboard in Black Lacquer with Gilded Wood Pulls

Description
This sideboard, signed by the illustrious 20th century designer James Mont, has an impact rarely seen. Bold and forward facing, this sideboard is beautifully restored in gleaming Black Lacquer with original gilded wood surfacing on each of the four equidistant front pulls. James Mont often combines brilliant and sparing geometrical designs accented with traditional ideas transformed, merging to create a balance of modernity with references to centuries of convention and history. Front storage opens from the center outwards, with hinged openings on either side for additional access. Two beautifully flush drawers line the top of the sideboard, one containing within James Mont's signature. A timeless design that can be matched with any interior. Mint restored condition.
