Description A unique bar for a standout look. This rare piece was designed by lighting and furniture designer Jean-Claude Mahey in the 1970’s for firm Maison Romeo and displays all the trademark glam of the French Hollywood Regency period. Brass and black lacquer are used in large, chunky blocks for a powerful impact, with a nice curve at the end. The very top surface of the bar is shiny, reflective brass, smoothed and rounded, while the bottom, echoing its shape, is black lacquer. From a distance, the piece seems to sparkle. There’s a large storage space around the back for stowing glasses or bottles of liquor. This dry bar would be a unique piece to add to a contemporary living room for a jolt of pizzazz.
