A massive 17th century wooden iron strapped and hand tooled metal plated coffer or trunk, raised on inverted bun feet; with hand-forged double padlock hardware and side handles. Ex: an extensive private collection of Iberian and North African artifacts and furnishings.

Five decades of antiques collecting experience in a succession of Historic Register homes in Virginia, New York, and Connecticut; and a 1901 beaux arts building on Manhattan’s Upper East Side. Open Thursday through Monday from 11:00 a.m. to 5 p.m.; and on Tuesday and Wednesday by appointment.
