    Stunning 4 door credenza model PE-40A in hand-welded steel with hand-painted polychrome enamels and gilding featuring bi-fold doors with red colored interior and cleft slate tops by Paul Evans for Directional Furniture, American 1968 (signed “PE 68”). These artisan pieces by Paul Evans are pure art. Each one is unique in its own way.

    Paul Evans Design & Sculptor by Jeffrey Head, published by Schiffer in 2012, the original ad for this cabinet is shown on page 75 and another example of this cabinet is shown on pages 77.

    Purchased by Lobel Modern from original owners as part of a large collection of Paul Evans originally located in Los Angeles.
