Description This Qing dynasty cabinet is from Shanxi, China and dates to the mid-1800s. It was originally used to provide extra storage in the dining or sleeping areas of a comfortable home. This piece features two drawers and a pair of doors. It is made from elmwood, covered in beautifully aged relacquer and features traditional mortise-and-tenon joinery. No nails were used, wear consistent with age and use.
