Description
A fine walnut bachelors chest on bracket feet with a wonderful pale toffee color and the added benefit of original ring button handles, escutcheons, locks and hinges.
The top quarter veneered with feather and cross banding exhibiting many historic repairs that add to the interest of this piece. The top opens to a finely veneered surface and again with feather and cross banding, the sides to the case cross banded and the two short and three long drawers all veneered with finely chosen burr veneers and banding. The shaped bracket feet are original, making this delightful piece a remarkable survival. -
