Depth: 19 3/4 inches
Made for and given to Abigail and Josiah Quincy II in 1769 on the occasion of their wedding. Josiah Quincy was an American patriot and lawyer who served as co-counsel with John Adams during the trials of Captain Thomas Preston and the soldiers involved in the Boston massacre. He was also the principal spokesman for the Sons of Liberty in Boston prior to the Revolution.
