Italian Purini and Mariani bamboo brass shelves étagère for Vivai Del Sud 1976

$ 14,500
  • Description
    Functional and stylish, this shelving unit or bookcase was made from natural bamboo, with cane joints and luxe displays of brass inserts in Italy in the mid-1970s. It was designed by Giusto Puri Purini and Maurizio Mariani for Vivai Del Sud in 1976. It features nine shelves, with smoked glass separations. Vivai Del Sud was a renowned brand in Roma in the 1960s and 1970s, inspired by Gabriella Crespi, bringing the Mediterranean bamboo and rattan style to the Italian high society. A rare find, highly decorative, with a beautiful patina, found in very good vintage condition.
