English Early 19th Century Oak Bookcase

    A breathtaking bookcase, made of solid oak, from the beginning of the 19th century, England. The bookcase has two bodies: an upper, shelved unit, and a lower case body. The upper is outfitted with eight shelves, which can all be adjusted to suit your decorative needs. They each have a depth of 5″. The shelves and backing have been painted a lovely cool blue. Both the upper and lower bodies feature decorative carved pilaster columns that provide an element of formality to this English Country piece. The lower body has two compartments that are concealed behind two lockable doors. Each compartment has an adjustable shelf inside. The bookcase rests on turned, bun feet. c.1810.
