-
Description
1970s vintage Italian chandelier, "Giogali" by Angelo Mangiarotti for Vistosi, on a minimalist metal structure painted in white, wired to U.S. standards with 9 candelabra sockets. This brilliant and elegant design consists of handcrafted Murano glass links, in the shape of a folded double horseshoe, that interlock suspended to each other, to create different tiers, varied sizes and shapes. This particular chandelier is rare on the market for the amethyst medallion incorporated at the core of each Murano glass cascading hook, multiplying the light source and producing tinted reflections. The design was awarded the Compasso d'Oro at the Milan Triennale in 1969. In excellent original condition. We can repaint the structure and canopy as new. Height can be adjusted, the body of glass elements measures 27 in. H.
