The Callimaco floor lamp, designed by Ettore Sottsass for Artemide, was originally released in 1982. The lamp holds the classic aesthetics of Sottsass, such as the use of geometric figures in an original, abstract order. Sottsass has emphasised the meaning and functionality of a lamp by only highlighting the base and shade without any other decoration or obstruction. Although this light is a sculpture in itself, the actual functionality is great too. The light source is only seen indirectly and the light thus creates a wonderful warm atmosphere. Condition: Very good condition. Minor blemishes, too small for photographic capture.
