Sirrah was born in Imola in 1968 taking its name from a star in the constellation Andromeda.
It debuted in 1968 at the Triennale presenting a series of lamps designed by the Albini-Helg-Piva studio.
From this date it began an industrial production while maintaining the handcrafted characteristics of the products: refinement, extreme attention to detail.
In 1973 the collaboration with Takahama introduces the use of new materials: the Japanese designer begins to use a heat-resistant, elastic and washable fabric with which he makes several lamps.
Also in the 1970s, collaboration with Dino Gavina began: the creations "La Lune sous le chapeau" and "Garbo" date from this period.
In the 1980s Emilio Ambasz designed the Soffio system and the production was characterized by the choice of fine materials.
In the 1990s, after the acquisition of Sirrah by iGuzzini illuminazione (1994) the focus shifted decisively to a production of lighting fixtures for specific market sectors.
Here a rare floor lamp of the series AM/AS with 6 lights with six homogeneous diffusers.
Good condition, fully original.
The lamp can be dismantled into pieces for shipping.
We strongly recommend wooden crate for safety during the transport.
