This stunning French Directoire style chandelier features two sets of inverted arrows realized in brass with notched quills piece through a rectangular piece of ebonized walnut. The six arrow heads, also in brass, appear on the other side of the ebonized walnut support, separated by an orbital embellishment in the center. While these arrows are obviously an aesthetic flourish, they are also structural. The arrow heads that protrude from a rectangular brass support also compose the finial of the fixture. Five curved brass arms extend from the ebonized walnut body, where they attach to glass shades which are subtly tinted in a warm brassy hue. The fixture is in excellent condition and has been newly rewired to American standards. The height can be adjusted to suit.
