1950 Gino Sarfatti model #17 sconces for Arteluce. Executed in white painted aluminum and brass. Brass jointed arm allows flexible shade adjustments and multiple configurations. The simplicity of Sarfatti's design and the sculptural shaping of the materials make for an incredibly refined example of this lighting master's influential approach, circa 1949-1950, Italy. Arteluce stamp on brass backplate. Price is for the pair. Arteluce was one of the most innovative lighting design companies in Italy during the midcentury era. Celebrated in his time and beyond as an undisputed master, Gino Sarfatti's designs have been long sought after by collectors in the know.
