Description
Block sconce in Calacatta Viola Marble by Henry Wilson
This sculptural item is handmade in Sydney, Australia.
The block sconce in Calacatta Viola marble is a two-piece stone light with captured bulb. Concealed mounting plate fixes the front and back pieces together.
Each piece is manufactured in natural stone, meaning variations of the pattern in the stone will occur from piece to piece. Has a honed finish.
The block sconce measures 375 x 350 x 105mm
Henry Wilson's work combines a rational, democratic utility with an element of sculptural expression. There is a clear form and function in our products, but it’s important they also have feeling. We are interested in the awkward beauty that comes from something made by hand. We like to explore how imperfection can be introduced into an Industrial process, to make something at scale that retains a sense of individual charm.
