Pair of crystal ball lamps, Jacques ADNET (1900-1984) for BACCARAT

    Iconic pair of modernist table lamps as shaped crystal ball resting on circular bases in silver bronze and stamped «bronze».
    Rare pair of lights by Jacques ADNET for the house BACCARAT known as well as model "7706" sought for their originality with the possibility to orientate the lamp in multiple positions.

    Jacques ADNET is a pioneer and one of the most prominent designers of the Art Déco period. He was the first to combine metal and glass to serve practical furniture while remaining elegant and high-end. His collaborations with different and famous houses such as BACCARAT testify of this. He defines himself as “innovative and classic, champion of a tradition that is stretched forward.” This is the most sought after edition with the mark "bronze" stamped on each base.
    In good condition with some traces of use, slight deformation on one of the two bases (see photo) and electricity redone.

    The lamp is wired for European use.

    Rare paire de luminaires par Jacques ADNET pour la maison BACCARAT (modèle aussi référencé comme 7706) recherchée pour leur originalité avec la possibilité d'orienter la lampe en une multiplicité de positions grâce au poids de la boule de cristal reposant sur une base concave. Cette édition portant le cachet "bronze" sur chacune des bases est la plus recherchée.

    Jacques ADNET est un pionnier, il fut le premier à combiner le métal et le verre pour servir un mobilier pratique tout en restant élégant et haut de gamme. Ses collaborations avec différentes et célèbres maisons telles que BACCARAT en témoignent. Il se définit lui-même comme « novateur et classique, champion d’une tradition tendue vers l’avant. »

    En bon état avec quelques traces d’usages, légère déformation sur l’une des deux bases (voir photo) et électricité refaite.
