Exceptional table lamp in the style of Jean Besnard, having a balloon-like form with a spherical body on a tapered stand ending in a flared foot, with horizontal ridging and multiple double handles applied to the shoulder, in earthenware with crispe glazing in white and brown; France, 1930s Dimensions are for ceramic base without including socket (10 in.H x 8 in. D); with a shade, the overall height would be about 18 to 20 in.
