Today’s world of lighting design is filled with pieces which are delightful to look at and sculptural in form. The emphasis on sculpture is deeply rooted in the Mid-Century movement when designers began to question traditional lighting and what the standard lamp and shade should look like. One company who was a leader in this shift was Laurel Lamp Company, their designs bridged the gap between common lighting and pieces of high design. With this shown pair of table lamps, we see Laurel’s unparalleled sense of materiality come to light.

These lamps make quite the statement with their slender form and tall stature. The marriage of polished brass and walnut is exquisitely executed with an almost seamless organic transition between the two. There is not too much of any one material which makes this pair of lamps elegant and easy to place in a room. These can be used in a multitude of settings such as beside a bed, on a sideboard within a dining setting, or anywhere else in need of a glistening addition.

These Laurel lamps remain in their original condition and show very minor wear consistent with age and history. The shown shades are our recommendation and not included with the set, however please inquire should there be interest in them. Dimensions listed account for the lamp to the top of the finial and are not inclusive of the shades.
