Monumental 'Oe Quasi Light' by Olafur Eliasson for Louis Poulsen. The chandelier has simple but complex interlayering of geometric shapes that may occur in nature. The exterior aluminum frame is an icosahedron shape with 12 LEDs embedded in the inner vertices. These light sources are connected to light guides along the inner edges, creating an even illumination towards the reflector in the center of the lamp. The reflector is shaped like a dodecahedron made up of a layered polycarbonate white core that reflects the light spherically back into the room—producing a glare-free and uniform light. The fixture is a sculpture that can be used as a single fixture or as a group. It has a place in prominent spaces, in a room above a table or counter, in a lobby, or in an exhibition space—the options are limitless.

Artist Olafur Eliasson (Iceland/Denmark), born in 1967, works in a wide range of media, including installation, painting, sculpture, photography, and film. Since 1997, his solo shows have appeared in major museums around the world.
