1950s flush mount ceiling light by Oscar Torlasco for Lumi. Executed in satin textured glass, perforated enameled metal and brass. A highly refined and sculptural design reminiscent of the work of Max Ingrand for Fontana Arte. Lumi was one of the most innovative lighting design companies in Italy during the midcentury era. Oscar Torlasco was their master. Their lamps stand apart in terms of both functionality and originality. Rewired for US electrical with black cord and period styled black wall plug. Accommodates 3x 60w equivalent LED US candelabra bulbs (lower with incandescent). Not UL listed, but recommended UL listing available from authorized 3rd party vendor upon request for an additional fee.
