Rare floor lamp, model no. LS 27, manufactured by Lumi, circa 1950s

Description
Oscar Torlasco was a lighting designer of the 1950s & 1960s. In 1959 he won the Italian Design award Compasso d`Oro for his street lighting titled 'Genova 4053'.
The optic lenses shown in his lamps are his trademark. Torlasco designed for a range of lighting companies in Italy including Lumi and Stilkronen which has since merged into the Falb group. -

Documentation: Ample Provenance Origin: Italy Period: 1950-1979 Materials: Marble base, brass stem and three light diffusers in patinated and painted aluminium. Condition: Good.
