Description
A round ceiling light designed by Paavo Tynell (1890-1973) for Taito OY, Finland, Model 2262, circa 1950s. The flush-mount light is constructed with off white enameled steel with brass accent with internal grids, brass ceiling plate and a diffuse glass. Signed with impressed manufacturer's mark to top of the shade: [Taito]. Three available with the other two listed as a pair.

It has been tested and ready for professional hardwire installation.
Minimalistic but elegant, the lighting designed by Paavo Tynell exemplified the best of Nordic mid-century design. The vintage pieces are sought after by the most discriminating collectors and designers worldwide. -

Fine vintage condition with attractive patina (mostly on the brass part) minor wear such as small scratches on the exterior enamel. Scratches concentrated in the interior from installation and not visible when installed.
