Pair of Striated Neoclassical Style Alabaster & Brass Sconces w/ Foliate Details

Description
This elegant pair of neoclassical style sconces were realized in the United States, circa 1950. They feature convex striated demilune form bodies in channeled alabaster with a sculptural neoclassical finial with laurel leaf detailing- a motif that recurs on the polished brass band that wraps around the top of each sconce. With their beautiful attention to detail and refined color palate, these sconces would be a winning addition to any style of interior from classic Art Deco to contemporary. They have been newly rewired to American standards and are in excellent vintage condition. The sconces accommodate two candelabra based bulbs for the pair offering up to 120 watts of light,
