Condition Good. Wear consistent with age and use. The chandelier is in excellent condition has light scratches due to its wear and age.

Description Rare Italian chandelier designed by Pietro Chiesa for the Italian manufacturer Fontana Arte in 1950. The chandelier is made in a brass structure with 16 lights.
The chandelier is composed of 16 brass wire arms. At each end we find the bulb holder in the shape of a flower in painted aluminum. The lights are fixed with crystal glass bowls of 20 cm diameter. A wonderful and rare piece that embraces the Art Deco style of the Church. The chandelier is ideal for important dining rooms or to furnish living rooms in art deco style.

Pietro Chiesa (1892-1948) was born into a family of artists from Ticino, Switzerland. Best known for his works in glass, Chiesa presented his work for the first time at the International Exhibition of Modern Decorative and Industrial Arts in Paris in 1925. In 1933, Chiesa's studio merged with Fontana Arte. Chiesa became artistic director of the company and designed numerous objects for Fontana Arte.
