1950s Counter-Weight Pendant Attributed to Gaetano Sciolari for Stilnovo. A quintessentially 1950s Italian design executed in green painted metal and brass. Height can be adjusted by raising or lowering the counter weight. A highly functional and sculptural suspension light of attractive scale and incomparable refinement.

Stilnovo was one of the most innovative lighting design companies in Italy during the midcentury era. Their designs have been long sought after by collectors in the know.

Accommodates 1x medium base 100 watt equivalent bulb (lower with incandescent); custom period styled canopy added for compatibility with US electrical J-box; some losses, patination, bends and scuffs as largely shown in photos and noted only for accuracy. Professionally rewired for US electrical but not UL listed. Recommended UL listing possible from authorized 3rd party vendor upon request for an additional fee. Contact us to facilitate.
