1950s Paavo Tynell brass counterweight chandelier for Taito Oy. This rare and exceptionally refined ceiling light is executed in richly patinated brass with a new replacement opaline circular glass piece. It can can be raised and lowered using its ingeniously designed counterweight and pulley system. Known variously as model numbers. J 1965 and 10202, Finland, circa late 1940s-early 1950s and manufactured by Taito Oy, this is a Fine example of a Tynell's most iconic design. Not UL listed, but recommended UL listing possible from authorized 3rd party vendor upon request for an additional fee.
