This elegant an materially exquisite Art Deco Gilt Wood Mirror W/ Hand-Carved Natural Detailing originates from France, Circa 1930. This mirror features a border in gilt wood, the majority of the frame in a silvery patinated deep golden hue, with the carved elements in a more reflective yellow gold, delineating the forms and beautifully accenting the carved detailing. An array of carved flowers rendered in a styled geometric minimalist form dances across the top area of the mirror, overlapping and featuring dynamic line-work depicting a variety of forms lending a warm and inviting energy to the piece. The top and bottom feature subtle geometric grooved detailing. An excellent piece and a beautiful example of the creative use of geometry and naturalist detailing in the Art Deco era, this mirror will style beautifully in a wide array of spaces and settings, from Art Deco to Mid-Century Modernist and Contemporary Interiors.
