Antique French Oeil de Boeuf Mirror
-
Description
Reclaimed Oeil de Boeuf or “eye of the cow” zinc window frame from the 19th century, converted into a statement wall mirror. Originally made in France circa 1870 as a window, it has been reclaimed as a chic wall decoration that brings an ornate architectural element inside the home. The frame features classic rope-twist ornamentation and rounded pediment top. Foxing from age at the mirror enhances its unique character. Metal surface has oxidation from weathering and age, enhancing its beauty.
