Description
A marvelously carved French 19th century Louis XVI style trumeau! The whole is painted a neutral ecru and accentuated with lustrous gold gilt. At the crown, a carved wreath of flowers and fruit is draped with intricate carved fabric. Fruit and flowers carved with such realistic detail, casually hangs within the folds of fabric. A deeply carved twisted band and flower borders the original mirror plate. The past two centuries have given the mirror plate a slight haze and sparkles, adding to the antique charm.
