From plural religious historical traditions to transversal artistic backgrounds, the triptych has been a form of devotion and wonder, for millenniums. An object of worship, that through is simple performance, evokes mystery and compels us to gaze. In an era, where egotism is in every detail of our daily life, we transport this guilty pleasure into a ritual, with its own time and place. The Portal mirror is a neo-renaissance object, intimate and personal, becoming a doorway to our reflection.

This full length floor mirror is in polished brass and coated with leather upholstery, covered with mirrors inside. The piece belongs to the Outside View collection, a limited edition of 24 pieces designed by Ricardo Guedes/Drama for October Gallery, entirely made in Portugal and manufactured in an artisanal way, in which every step of the process is carefully executed. This collectible design piece is handmade-to-order and can be customized in terms of scale, materials or finishes. This piece includes a certificate of authenticity signed by the artist.

Architect // Designer
Ricardo Guedes is a portuguese architect and designer, with vast international experience, before founding his own architecture office ARG studio. Throughout his professional background, he had the opportunity to collaborate with acclaimed practices, namely with the Pritzker Prize laureate Rem Koolhaas / OMA, and with the renowned architecture and design office UN Studio.
