"Pour le Weekend" series of furniture designed by Pierre Gauthier-Delaye won the Grand Prize when introduced in France in the mid-1950. Made with an ashwood frame and tightly woven/corded straw in unique panels on seat and back, the chair has a casual appeal that feels comfortable in the garden, orchard or home.
