    A PAIR OF REGENCY EBONIZED AND PARCEL GILT SIDE CHAIRS OF PROFOUNDLY SHAPED FORM
    English. Early 19th Century. One Chair Made Later In The 19th Century To Match.

    Research
    Of beech, ebonized and parcel gilt. Each surmounted by a broad shaped backrest with incised foliate gilt decoration, below a caned panel above a carved and turned crossbar. The caned seat above four profoundly curved sabre legs. With incised gilt decoration. The front legs with boldly carved zoomorphic feet. Decoration restored to match areas of original. One chair 19th century but made later to match.
