Both chairs with horseshoe shaped crest rails, molded back rests, column uprights over solid carved shaped seats on cabriole legs ending in square padded feet joined by baluster and block cross stretchers. Boith chairs are uniquely designed and probably by the same maker. Walnut George II period windsor chairs are the rarest of the windsor genre. These chairs are in a rare class of their own.
