-
Description
Pair of slippers, model "Soriana" of Afra and Tobia Scarpa, first edition made by Cassina in 1970. The wooden structure, trimmed with foam covered with a fabric of the Maison Pierre Frey, pinched with double tubes of chrome steel, rests on two castors and two cylindrical skates. Editor label visible under the base. Careful and meticulous renovation.
Designers: Afra (1937-2011) and Tobia Scarpa (1935), Italian architects and designers recognized and awarded for their creations, opened their design office in the early 60s. They collaborate with large companies such as Flos, B&B Italia, Cassina and Knoll. These postmodern artists use new technologies, respecting history, form and function. For the "Soriana" armchair, they received in 1969 the "Compasso d'Oro".
