Description | A very rare 'Zabro' metamorphic chair-table Alessandro Mendini for Zanotta, Milan, 1984. The hinged circular top lifting to reveal a geometrically hand painted decorated chair with leather covered arms. Signed Alessandro Mendini to back leg. Alessandro Mendini played an important role in the development of Italian design and, together with Ettore Sottsass, he was member of the group, Alchimea. He was also editor of the design magazine Domus. Height as a chair: 136 cm. Height of table: 70 cm. Diameter of top: 92.5 cm. Seat Height: 45 cm. Depth of chair 48.5 cm.
