Austrian Biedermeier klismos chair (1830)

Description
Biedermeier Klismos side chair of European beechwood and mahogany veneers. The seat is upholstered in Italian oil tanned leather with brass round head tacks. The front legs are turned to spike feet and the rear legs are sabre cut on brass castors. The U form back rail with rolled crest is veneered in mahogany.
