Description
Börje Johanson Pair of Leather Bar Stools. Börje Johanson (1927-2006) was a Swedish furniture designer who was known for his innovative designs. He began his career as a cabinetmaker before studying at the Konstfack School of Arts, Crafts, and Design in Stockholm. He went on to work for the furniture company Lammhults Möbel AB, where he designed several chairs that became popular in Sweden and beyond. In the 1970s, Johanson started his own furniture company, Johanson Design, which focused on creating high-quality, ergonomic office chairs. He was particularly interested in how people sit and how furniture can be designed to support the body in a healthy and comfortable way.
Johanson's chairs are known for their clean lines, simple shapes, and attention to detail. He worked with a variety of materials, including wood, metal, and leather, and his designs often incorporated adjustable features to help users customize their chairs to their individual needs. -
