    A pair of Danish Art nouveau mahogany and mother of pearl armchairs, upholstered in new distressed leather.

    Provenance
    Made by Lysberg Hansen, now called Lysberg, Hansen and Thorp, are very high quality furniture makers in Central Copenhagen. The timber always the finest, the mahogany always Cuban. These chairs are in Jungen Style (Danish art Nouveau) and are dated c1900. They are reminiscent of the designer Rhode. Often Lysberg and Hansen furniture is labelled but not always. Their furniture was often displayed in the high end living magazine called "Magazine".

Wick Antiques was established by Charles Wallrock in the early 1980s. Having grown up in the Antiques world Charles developed an extensive wealth of knowledge. Starting out as a ‘man with a van’ he quickly gained a good reputation and embarked on a longstanding relationship with Harrods. He was later joined by his wife, Caroline Wallrock. Caroline having completed a Persian degree, went on to study at Christie’s fine art and then joined Sotheby’s specializing in Islamic and Japanese works of art
