Description
This is a stunning Directoire/Louis XVI -Style daybed that dates to the last quarter of the 20th century. The daybed features a walnut frame with sides that ratchet down with hand-forged iron supports for easy resting or reading--the sides also fold flat. The applied patina is deceptive in its perfect imitation of true 200 year old patina. The new high-end velvet upholstery is detailed in a coordinating French gimp. The bench cushion is a custom down-wrap filler. The cushions and bolstered are custom down and feather filled. This daybed begs to be nestled into.
