Description Polish-born Erich Dieckmann (1896-1944) apprenticed at the Bauhaus in Weimar from 1921 to 1925 and began a celebrated career in furniture design in the 1930s. His pieces were functional yet artistically relevant. This pair of armchairs from 1930s are a perfect example of the Bauhaus style. A single bentwood piece connecting arm and leg with seat and back in a serious of interconnected contrasting wood bars linked together. Radically simple and exceptional. Made by Gelenka DDP Germany. Two available, priced individually.
