    A superb pair of oak lounge chairs by Etienne Henri Martin for Maison Steiner Model SK40 circa 1948. Extremely Comfortable (seat height 36 cm).

    Etienne-Henri Martin (b. Paris 1913-1997) was a French designer and decorator. Martin studied at the Ecole Boulle university in Paris and went on to work with prominent furniture manufacturers like Steiner and the design workshops of major department stores like Printemps of Paris. He collaborated extensively with his renowned contemporary Rene Prou.
