Description An elegant pair of slipper chairs, custom designed and made by Everett Sebring. Newly upholstered in pebbled warm grey leather, the chairs feature a dark walnut base and a handle detail on the chair back. These chairs were custom designed for Mrs. R.L. Chatain for her Henry Eggers designed Laguna Beach, CA home. The home was featured in an article entitled “A Beach House for Year-Round Living” in the June 1953 issue of House Beautiful, which was photographed by architectural and garden photographer, Maynard Parker (see images 9 & 10), who worked extensively for the magazine from 1940-1960, and whose work is catalogued at the Huntington. We have been able to uncover much information about Everett Sebring, but these chairs are a great design and well documented.
