A regal, French Empire mahogany twin size daybed. The mahogany has a wonderful tone and patina. Elements of Empire style are seen in the traditional, front facing, recurring column theme and detailed brass ormolu capitals and bases. The two columns facing the back are simple square columns. The front rail has a shallow concave curve with bookmatched veneer, adding another Empire element. The whole sits on wheels to allow ease of access for making the bed. Inside: 72”W x 37”D
