French Pair of 18th Century Louis XV Gold Gilt Fauteuils

A fantastic pair of Period Louis XV petite fauteuils! The giltwood frames have been carved with exquisite craftsmanship. The giltwood has been worn with age and use, giving the pair a great patina without taking away from the luster of the gold. The upholstery is in good, used condition and depicts a beautiful design of flowers and vines in metallic thread with gold trim. Classic French check fabric on the back. Cabriole legs support the whole ending in escargot feet. Circa 1720. Make sure to view the detailed images for a closer look. Seat height is 17-¼”.
