    The French pair of gold gilt fauteuils are wonderful in scale and design. Made in 19th century France, the frames retain their original lustrous gold gilt finish and have a beautiful patina. Classic elements of Louis XVI style are showcased with fluted legs, rosette joinery dies, lambs tongue carving, and acanthus arms. The gray blue velvet upholstery is in good, worn condition.
