Iconic hairpin/v-leg daybed/settee by George Nelson for Herman Miller.
Early example (ca. 1950) with a metal spring and maple frame construction, this version designed without back brackets but with two removable bolster cushions -- all supported by aluminum hairpin legs (later models are stainless steel).
Retains its original sage mohair upholstery with signature Herman Miller rounded welt-cord piping of the cushions.
Frame has been conservatively restored. The original mohair shows wear consistent with age/use (snags, fading, impressions). Usable as is with aforementioned wear, though reupholstery is recommended.
Partial tag present to the understand - unsigned.
