Gio Ponti Armchair in Green Loro Piana Velvet and Ash Wood, Boucher & Fils, 1955
-
Description
This rare armchair was designed by Gio Ponti and produced by Boucher et Fils in France in 1955. The striking design is marked by the geometric shape of the angled armrests and the tapered, conical legs, all in solid ash wood. The subtle lines of the backrest and seat make this a refined and attractive design from all angles.
The ash wood armrests and legs have been restored and refinished. The chair has been fully reconditioned and newly upholstered in a luxurious Loro Piana 'Alchemy' velvet. This 100% cotton velvet in a laurel green color is a soft fabric, very pleasant to touch.
