Description Gio Ponti for Cassina rare pair of Distex lounge chairs model 807 with gray velvet upholstered back, seat and arms, and walnut legs. Fully restored and newly reupholstered in a luxurious Holland & Sherry Rambouillet Platinum or pale gray wool velvet mohair.

The Distex model armchair with its beautiful ergonomic design and dynamic sculptural lines was first presented at the X Triennale in Milan in 1954. These sculptural armchairs are an iconic Ponti design which captures Ponti's radical modernist vision of postwar Italian design.
